A few more personal words...
... for those who are interested, which will probably be the "old hands" from back then or my 250 models back then, with whom in most cases I unfortunately haven't had any contact for a long time. You are all welcome to read this text. But also the younger ones among you who no longer know what to do with the "Sockenmaedchen.de era" and have no idea what charm the web once had.
Sockenmaedchen.de was one of the first sites on the Internet in 2000 that dared (or whose models dared) to show not only feet, but also faces. Within a very short time, the site became cult, even beyond German borders. Once again, a big thank you to everyone who made this possible – visitors, customers and above all: to you models!
The picture on the right or below shows the homepage of Sockenmaedchen.de 10 years ago. It was about feet, socks, sneakers and always a principle of my work: real, natural girls (from 18). Not professional models, but real, authentic young women who came by for a shoot straight after school or university.
The backdrop was my real apartment (there have been three different ones over the years), a lot of outdoor locations and, for a while, my own studio. All in all, it was a really nice, exciting and exciting time - for around 20 years.
But times are changing. And technical progress is always a blessing but also a curse at the same time. In the case of my pages, the progress took away a lot of the lightness, carefreeness and playful innocence of the thing. Why exactly – that would go beyond the scope here.
Sockenmaedchen.de had a lot of "useless" gimmicks, but that was precisely what made the site so charming: surveys, model boards, auctions, download area, the Link'n Win program, dynamic stories with freely selectable names... I experimented a lot . It helped me that I've been programming relatively well since the 1980s.
In 2005 Feet-per-View.com was added. While people still ordered series and clips on CD Rom or films on VHS cassettes on Sockenmaedchen.de (hard to believe), in 2005 I switched everything to direct download. The productions became a bit "crass". Of course, still far away from any nudity or even porn stuff - but worship and "coarse" speaking became standard for a while. People really loved my productions, which still really touches me today!!!
But that was exactly what became increasingly a thorn in the side of the later girls. Many of them really wanted to model, but not with a guy who would lick their feet, as my male actors for FPV often did. So there was only one choice: without worship or without mega authentic models? I chose the former. "Back to innocence" was the motto. Fairy-Feet.com came onto the scene in 2010. The name said it all: the prettiest, sweetest girls posed like fairies - also primarily in sneakers, (white) socks and barefoot in beautiful locations. For some visitors it was "too harmless", without any dominance or the like, but very, very many recognized what was very special about these truly fantastic shots, which simply made any kind of dominance completely unnecessary.
In the end I was out of breath. After 20 years, no more ideas come, everything has been said, shown, experienced, done... I finished the projects. And it was fine like that. But what was created during this time is certainly impressive – even today! There's a bit of everything there. In 20 years, fashion, my skills, technology, ... everything changes. The very first digital photos in 2000 were just 640 x 480 pixels in size! But these still impress today with their extreme authenticity!
I then withdrew a bit and got hired as a programmer, advertising copywriter and the like. I read a lot, thought about life, increasingly discovered my spiritual (not esoteric!) side, discovered and reinvented myself, sought my inner center, inner peace, and began writing books that I currently still hold "under the radar", ... relationships came and went, private ups and downs, as each of us knows them well... It was also a varied time.
Why am I opening the archive doors again now? That's very difficult for me to say. I don't really feel like doing new shoots. Not on a large scale, at least. But I would be interested to know whether a) there are still many of the "old hands" out there who are looking forward to a (possibly only short) revival and b) what the current generation will say about my productions. Do they also see a special appeal, like the style of my photos and films, the stories in the "rougher" films from Feet-per-View.com? Will the younger ones appreciate real pioneering work?
The price I charge for the downloads is still incomparably cheap, as has always been my motto. So I still don't want to enrich myself from it. But I don't want to give anything away for free. This doesn't feel right with all the work, all the performance, all the quality and all the courage that I, but especially the models, have had! My and their work is worth far more than it costs here!
Finally, I have one more request for you: If you download pictures and clips, please treat them with the necessary respect for the girls! They joined in the fun and made us all very happy. But their lives also went on and they may have now built a family and a completely different existence. They have a right to peace and quiet and a closed past! Don't distribute anything on the internet, keep everything to yourself, completely private. Not to mention copyright.
